Exporting STEP/STL

Export a part as STEP or binary STL.

Carrera3D exports to two formats:

  • STEP — for exchange with other CAD systems.
  • STL (binary) — for 3D printing and tools that only need a mesh.

Use the export command from the file menu and choose the format. Export uses the OpenCASCADE kernel underneath, so STEP output reflects the same solid geometry as the viewport.
