Parametric CAD that rebuilds the same way every time.

Carrera3D is a desktop CAD app with a constraint-based sketcher, a feature tree, and a built-in PDM vault — CarreraVault — so your team's parts stay versioned, not scattered across a shared folder.

Carrera3D

Parametric CAD with conventions from SolidWorks and CATIA.

Feature tree

Every part is a sequence of parametric features. Reorder, suppress, or edit any step and the rest rebuilds from it.

Constrained sketching

A Levenberg–Marquardt solver keeps 2D sketches fully constrained as you drag geometry around.

Solids

Extrude, revolve, fillet, chamfer, and boolean operations on top of an OpenCASCADE kernel.

Node graph editor

A visual graph for generative and parametric modeling, alongside the direct feature tree.

STEP and STL export

Export STEP for exchange with other CAD systems, or binary STL for printing and downstream tools.

Headless / plugin API

The whole app is drivable without a window through a plugin API, for scripted and batch workflows.

A model that rebuilds correctly today rebuilds correctly in six months.

A .cr3d file is UTF-8 JSON holding your parameters and feature history, not a frozen boundary representation. On load, Carrera3D rebuilds the geometry from those parameters — there's no stale B-rep to drift out of sync with the file. The format is backward-compatible: a file from an earlier version keeps rebuilding in a newer one.

CarreraVault: the whole team's data, not just your files

Repos and workspaces

Version-controlled repos, checked out into local workspaces.

Revisions and releases

Every checkin is a revision; releases mark a point teams can build against.

Review / merge requests

Changes go through a review workflow before landing.

BOM

Assembly bill of materials generated from the parts in a workspace.

Diff and impact analysis

See what changed between revisions and what else it touches.

Full-text search

Search across entities and relations in the vault.

Lifecycle and permissions

Lifecycle states and permissions govern who can release what.

Notifications

An activity feed and notifications keep the team in sync.
